Introduction

So, what's this comic all about and who are these people anyway? Darned if I know! Um, I mean . . .

If you couldn't tell from the title (in which case you probably shouldn't be attempting to read the rest of it), this is a comic about mad scientists doing what mad scientists do best: taking over the world! (Cue the lightning.) Well, trying at any rate. Let's meet the gang, shall we?

Emma Jentho
This fiery-tempered mad scientist has dreamt of world conquest ever since she was a little girl. To this end, she has created a mind switcheroo, a dimensional displacer, and countless other devices, including a variety of laser guns and cannons. She also dabbles in chemistry, usually with explosive results.

Werner Wetzel
Originally from Germany, he was run out of town when the locals got tired of his various monsters always going on rampages. Not one to let a little thing like that get him down, he fled to America, where he noticed Dr. Jentho's ad in the Yellow Pages. Now he helps with her plans to take over the world in exchange for a place to stay. He can often be found relaxing with a cocktail, whether working or not.

Joseph Shin
An expert in computers and robotics, his experiments proved less than profitable, so he set fire to his lab and attempted to collect the insurance money. Now with a warrant out for his arrest, he too has taken refuge at Castle Jentho. Because of his situation, however, he remains instinctively distrustful of just about everyone around him.

Basil
Does he even have a last name? Only his mother knows for sure! Basil's been Dr. Jentho's faithful lackey ever since her grad school days. And while he may not understand her experiments, he cheerfully aids her in them, even if that means acting as a human guinea pig. And hey, they don't seem to have caused any long-term damage (though admittedly, it's sometimes hard to tell).

Richard Bentley
Once, he was best friends with Dr. Jentho, as well as a formidable mad scientist in his own right. However, an extended stay in an asylum convinced him to change his ways. A little high strung, he is currently trying to convince the government that mad scientists are a real threat, despite heavy skepticism.

Narrator
This (usually) disembodied voice pops in and out at will. Although he's supposed to be an impartial observer, offering up the odd bit of information, he just can't seem to help getting more involved. Still, he often takes long breaks from the action. What he does during these extended absences remains a mystery.

Courtney Davis
An archaeologist and sometimes cartoonist, she is often as elusive as a League of Mad Scientists update. But between digging holes and traipsing through swamps, she hopes to be able to keep bringing you this fine comic, albeit ever sporadically.
